The 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 2 will introduce a Team Deathmatch tiebreaker and an extra decider match when it begins in Lahore, Pakistan on October 20th.
According to a release, 32 teams have qualified through nine 2026 PMGO Regional Finals staged across Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. They will compete over five match days until October 25th for a share of the $500,000 prize pool and a route to the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the first official global PUBG MOBILE esports event to be held in Pakistan.
The 32 sides are split into two groups, each containing 16 teams, with every team playing six matches across Rondo, Erangel and Miramar. Group A competes on October 20th and Group B on October 21st. The top six scorers in each group move straight into the Grand Finals, while those placing 7th to 14th drop into the Survival Stage on October 22nd, a further six matches that decide the last four Grand Finals places. The remaining four teams are eliminated.
How the Team Deathmatch tiebreaker works
The first of the format changes applies to both the Group Stage and the Survival Stage. Any tie on points that decides a qualification spot will now be settled by a best-of-three 4v4 Team Deathmatch on Warehouse, a small close-quarters map. A round goes to the first team to reach 15 eliminations, or to whichever side has more eliminations when the timer runs out. If the round finishes level, the team that made the last elimination takes the win.
Once the final 16 is set, the Grand Finals get under way on October 24th. Day 1 follows the same six-match structure used earlier in the event. The champion will collect 150 PMGC points, which are accumulated across the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Esports circuit and determine which teams are guaranteed a place at the PMGC later this year.
Showmatch bans and the new Match 13
Day 2 is where the second change lands. A themed-map showmatch will be played before Match 7, and the winner earns the right to ban one of three map options for Match 13, a new addition designed to increase the chances of the title being decided by a WWCD — the term for taking a match by being the last team standing.
Match 13 will only be played if nobody has already been crowned under the event’s SMASH rules. In that case, the team leading after Match 12 picks between the two remaining map options. The release said the changes are intended to test the adaptability of teams while giving fans a more unpredictable show.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
