BLAST and Ubisoft Renew Rainbow Six Esports Partnership, Announce 2026-27 Majors and Six Invitational Locations

BLAST and Ubisoft have renewed their global partnership for Rainbow Six esports, extending their collaboration through the end of the 2028/29 competitive season. The companies announced the agreement during the Six Invitational 2026 in Paris.

The extension builds on an initial partnership launched in 2023 between BLAST and Ubisoft, which reshaped the competitive structure surrounding Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Since then, the circuit has expanded its international presence with arena events across North America, Europe and South America.

Under the renewed agreement, the companies also confirmed host destinations for major global competitions across the 2026–27 season, highlighting a continued focus on live events and international audiences.

Salt Lake City, Japan and Brazil are scheduled to host upcoming global tournaments. Organizers said the BLAST Rainbow Six Major will take place in Salt Lake City from May 8–17, 2026, followed by a Major event in Japan from Nov. 6–15, 2026. The Six Invitational 2027 is set for Brazil in February.

The announcement accompanies broader structural changes planned for the 2026 competitive season. Ubisoft and BLAST outlined a unified global circuit designed to streamline the competitive calendar and establish clearer qualification pathways.

The revised format begins with the Challenger Series early in the year, followed by a Season Kickoff event awarding the first SI Points. Two Regional League stages will feed into international competitions, while the Esports World Cup will serve as a mid-season global event offering direct qualification opportunities.

In addition, Ubisoft confirmed the launch of the CNL as the fifth fully integrated global region. The league will feature 10 professional teams and operate under the same competitive standards as existing regions. CNL teams will join the Global Standings system and enter the R6 SHARE program beginning in 2026.

Executives from both companies described the renewal as a continuation of long-term investment in Rainbow Six esports. BLAST CEO Robbie Douek cited the partnership’s role in expanding live events and strengthening competitive formats, while Ubisoft’s Francois-Xavier Deniele emphasized the importance of competitive clarity and sustainability.
